Sriom Adisakthiyendra Swamigal
Early Days
The great Gurus like Adisankarar, Ramanujar, Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Raghavendra and Shiridi Baba were reformers of their eras. Sriom Adisakthiyendra Swamigal can be called as the reformer of the current century. He has understood the essence of divinity and inculcated his teachings in a simple way it reaches and calls out to the souls of his followers.
Swamigal was born in a Vaishnavite family on 20th Aug 1961 and named Ravi Narayanan-He was an intelligent, well-mannered child who was very much inclined towards devotion and dhyan, helping and caring for others from a very young age. He is a graduate in Commerce.

Devi's Vision
When he was in his teens, he was woken up in the early hours by the lotus feet of Sri Om Adi Sakthi Devi. This is the day, his life got transformed. This set him on the path of unique devotion, the worship of the lamp and turned him from materialistic life to a world of recluse. He became a Swami and devoted his life to the worship of Devi. He spent most of his days on dhyan. Devi became his Guru and taught him A to Z of Vedas, Upanishads, Pooja Vidhan including the unique lamp and the Trisul Pooja. He would follow her order implicitly without any question.

Penances (Tapas)
A sanyasi needs to complete penance on water, land and Agni.
Devi asked him to do a penance on water near Triveni Sangam during peak winter, which he did.
Then he was asked to go for a penance at Kodachadri Hills, Kollur, Karnataka in a dense forest. He followed her instructions and completed the penance where he got the darshan of ultimate energy, Sriom Adi Sakthi in a fire ball form which is like billion volts of electricity. When he called ‘Amma’, she came in the female form. He took his Sanyasam vows after the penance and got his name Sri Om Adisakthiyendra Swamigal.
In 1998 / 1999, based on orders from Devi, he did his Agni Thapas on the Kadari Hills, Tamil Nadu. This led to complete realization of who he was, origin of his soul and his previous births.

Travel to Fiji
As per the orders of Devi, he left for Fiji to drop his mother with her elder son. Till he came to Fiji, he had no desire to form an ashram or a temple. As he had seen the ultimate energy, his intention was to go around the country, pass on his learnings to whosoever he would meet and merge with Devi. But the people whom he met in Fiji requested him to start the ashram so that many others can share the wisdom which Swamiji had.

Major Spiritual Contributions
Before he went for Thapas in Kodachadri Hills, Devi started giving him Her Sahasranama in twos, threes or tens like pearls scattered all over the place, when he was in his deep meditation. Swamiji perceived Devi’s Dance (Thandavam) in the form of Devi Mahatmiyam and condensed the 700 slokas of Devi Mahatmiyam in Sanskrit to 30 slokas in Tamil language, which even a common man can understand and recite. Later, when he was in Fiji, he compiled the Sriom Adisakthi Sahasranama in the current format, wrote Sriom Devi Mahatmiyam in Hindi, Sriom Adi Kavacham, Suprabatham and many other songs. He also wrote the eighteen golden rules for everyone to reach the lotus feet of Devi and coined his powerful slogan, “Humanity leads Divinity.”
Here, one has to note that whatever he has written or known, were given to him by Devi in his meditation. He wrote Devi Mahatmiyam in Hindi without knowing the language. He got the message and scripted it in Tamil words. He never reads any books, and his classes are purely messages from his Mother.

Founding Ashram
As requested by the Sishyas and devotees from Fiji, Swamiji then founded Sriom Adisakthi Ashram in Avalur, a small village about 20 km from Kanchipuram, Tamil N?du, India and established Sriom Panchasakthi Peedam, which is a replica of the fort of Sriom Adisakthi as seen by him in his meditation. The initial assistance was provided by the disciples and members from Fiji.
After his Agni Thapas, he started looking for a place for his final days, moved to a remote village, Yemcha in Telangana on the banks of the Godavari River, established Sriom Devi Nilayam, later built a beautiful temple for his mother, Sriom Jagadhadri Devi and started guiding the villagers in the path of ‘Humanity leads Divinity’.
